Brent grew up in Belpre, Ohio. He was baptized into Christ in 1968 and considers Belpre Church of Christ his original home congregation.
Brent has been an elder at Northside since 2004. Before serving as an elder at Northside, he served as a deacon for four years and as a deacon for two years at North Central Church of Christ in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Brent and his wife, Suzanne, have two children, Emily and Michelle. Brent enjoys running and bicycling.
